Prohibido
My brother sent me this photograph from a supermarket parking lot in Puerto Rico

I interpret this as meaning:
Speedskaters & Cyclists are prohibited from racing each other when giant bottles of beer are the prize.
these images are certainly not of a recreational skater & cyclist just crusing along.
Is there a place where this kind of thing happens enough to be a problem?
With a 3 foot tall bottle of beer as the prize, there are speedskaters & cyclists I know who would be quite motivated to win!

or maybe, say, a 3-foot bottle of wine…
That is so funny! hahahaha They really do look like they are racing (or at least training hard). Prohibido en el shoping…that’s so funny.
1st rule of Fight Club, you don’t talk about Fight Club.
1st rule of Skate Cycle Race for Booze Club, you don’t talk about Skate Cycle Race for Booze Club.
Andrew, your going to ruin it for us.
the guy on the left is obviously on quads, I wonder if inlines are allowed…
The funny thing is that I saw maybe 3 cyclists the whole two weeks I was there, and no inline skaters, or roller skaters for that matter. maybe a skateboarder or 2. The roads would be amazing for cycling, except that you’d be killed in about 30 seconds. They’re narrow, twisty, and blind. And people go fast. You actually honk before going around a corner to make sure no one hits you.
I love that the bottle just says “Beer” - now, I don’t speak Spanish, but since it is “Prohibido en el Shoping” shouldn’t it say “Cerveza”? Hmmm… must be an influx of drunk English speakers!
Or maybe it’s a caution not to race drunk, from a successful “Don’t Drink and Race” lobbying group? Perhaps the whole island has undergone a paradigm shift due to so many deaths from drunk skate cycle racing? The sign is hysterical.
