While Andrew was training, Becky and I were skiing!
Here are a few pictures of me and Becky skiing at Parsenn.
I have to laugh because Andrew and I used to ski a lot
at Winter Park, where they had a bowl called Parsen.
I guess this is the original!
For pictures of the oval and speedskating, see Andrew’s
blog here.
Freshies!!! The skiing actually wasn't that great. The
alps hadn't gotten fresh snow since Chritsmas!
There's Davos down below.
I called this run “the autobahn” because
it was so huge. Most of the runs were like this.
There were fences set up along many of the mountains,
and I figured out after a while that they are for avalanche
control.
There was a little café midmountain, and they
had lounge chairs set out. In the sun, it was downright
balmy. That palm tree in the background is fake. :)
Hamming it up.
I swiped a little packet of nutella from the hotel breakfast
for an afternoon snack, and decided to dip a snickers
bar in it. It’s Switzerland! It’s chocolate
upon chocolate!
We were treated to an amazing pasta dinner cooked by
the Italian Master’s Speedskating team. They were
a blast, and we enjoyed each other’s company.
All too soon the trip was over and I was home. Lilly
and Tortabella were glad to have me home. That's all folks!
Thanks for visiting!
