Day Two: Jeep's house, Pescadero

Jeep's house had only one rule - no toilet paper down the drain! He had no hot water either. There were two toilets, the one inside, and this, the one outside. Were it not for a few moments sitting out here, I would have never noticed the orioles that live in Pescadero.

Marcela is a 16 year-old young lady who helped us a great deal. She wants to be a veterinarian, and Susan, an American local, said she would pay for Marcela's education after seeing her work with us.

Kris Ann (right) is Robin's wife, and she's been practicing for about a year. She told me that most of the dogs she spays are healthy puppies, so the population of dogs we spayed in Baja was much more challenging than what she regularly sees. Mariposa (left) is a wonderful local volunteer who took in dogs that needed a little extra help, like the dalmatian from the day before, to be observed overnight after their surgeries.

Relaxing with a friend.

We got done early that day and took a stroll along the Pacific coast. It was too cold and rough to swim, but it was beautiful. Bruce and Kris Ann admire the scenery.

More beauty.
