The Happy Birthday Song
My wife (the esteemed Dr. Love) and a few of her friends sang me happy birthday over a cel phone.. I republished it here.
The cel phone is not the best in audio quality, but this makes me happy and warm to hear anyway.
And I need all the warmth possible, Norway is cold, and it's a wet, damp, dreary cold. JUST like Ithaca N.Y. where I grew up!!!

Happy Birthday Andrew!!!
Enjoy the scenery…it looks like 35 will be a very good year for you!
Here in Binghamton, right near your ancestral home, it is indeed cold, wet and dreary. Have a very happy birthday on the Viking Ship. Imagine it sailing to the land of your dreams. Try not to think about the huge skate falling from the ceiling or having to drag Marley’s ponderous chain during your 1000 meter race.
Happy Birthday!!!
Eat a reindeer burger, or something as celebration.
Happy birthday Andrew,
Best wishes for your races.
I am going to be in Ottawa Jan 7,8th doing a 25K Sat. and a 40K Sun.
I will see you at LT nationals.
thanks all…
I might be alone in Norway, but I have friends across the world who wish me well, and so I don’t feel lonely!!!
again, thanks…. I write you this from the wireless equipped lobby of the hotel, and I am watching a bunch of italian, german, and norwegian masters skaters arguing in a friendly way about something, they are veering back and forth beween 4 languages!!

Happy Birthday from frigid Cleveland!
Just one question, are you tempted to go around asking random people where the Slartibartfast designed fjords are?
BTW it is 15 and snowy here in balmy ohio
Kick some butt
happy b-day, andrew
my favorite inordinately unordinary speedskating blogster!
